So last week Dave took us to war and we had a few interesting pieces come back but I’ll be honest, this week Sadje’s choice of 16 might prove challenging to say the least but before we take that road let us first review.
So this week Sadje has selected good old number 16 and when I saw the theme I will admit I went ohhh. You know that long drawn out questioning ohhh and then in about sixty seconds I’d written my piece, so it wasn’t that difficult after all. So what is this week’s theme you ask? Well its ….
So to good old google identity is defined as …
Identity is the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and/or expressions that make a person (self-identity as emphasized in psychology) or group (collective identity as pre-eminent in sociology). One can regard the awareness and the categorizing of identity as positive or as destructive.
But I think (yep there’s identity right there) that you can go a bit further than that in this prompt. Identity theft, social identity, digital identity, just to name a few. I am giving you free rein to explore this topic in any way you like but I have one limit .. or rather 42 words.
So, another week down but we still have a few to go, so if you feel the urge please participate and just because I like to give you all something to do, anyone want to guess what our last theme will be? If so put it in the comments. I’ll go that cold, warm, hot thing in response.
Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:
Commit a crime? Social media here you come.
The Capitol Is Stormed
The Headlines Read
But in this time of digital
There were no cries of off with her head
Cameras, surveillance, social media
Did the rounds real quick
Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
Find the culprits, just take your pick.
PS Don’t forget to pingback.
