Some things had to be seen to be believed, Megan decided as she stared out on the bleak, hostile landscape in distaste.
When she’d received the note she hadn’t taken it seriously, she hadn’t seen her older brother for years, so to hear from him out of the blue was disconcerting to say the least.
But it wasn’t until she read the note that she had to remind herself to breathe, almost remind her heart to beat which had led to this moment and the realization that she hated her brother.
How dare he get held hostage in this wasteland.
