Welcome one and all and I’m really excited this week because I think Dave has picked the bestest number ever to represent current going ons, but before we get to that, let’s see what tall tales and parental advice we received with Chelsea’s 25.
Now perhaps the old parent story didn’t prove as popular as other themes but I anticipate that this next theme will invoke a response. You’ll all become primed to fire, you’ll have your backs up against the wall and you’ll let the blows fly for this week’s theme is the incrediably apt …
Now I don’t want to give you any preconceived notions on where to take this prompt for there are a lot of different wars in this world. Perhaps its the war on the back yard grass, perhaps its the war with the second cousin who scoffs all the drinks, perhaps its the war on your dwindling self confidence, perhaps its Errol Flynn’s war on the woman in Hollywood, perhaps its another type all together.
You pick it, you decide but just remember 42 is the number of words you have, so you better be brief and too the point and not meander for 2 hours where your not wanted.
Now thanks to all the votes for the final pick, its locked in and I will reveal in due course, until then we can just watch the numbers be marked off.
Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:
No longer would she grit her teeth and endure
It was time to take the gloves off.
This time he wouldn’t scoff.
Some things were worth throwing the first punch for,
She wouldn’t take this anymore.
She would stand her ground,
James, put the toilet roll on the right way round.
PS Don’t forget to pingback.
