As he leant forward, his expression earnest, Jamie had the first of many forgiving’s.
“But in the song there was a secret little inner song.”
Nodding agreement seemed the wisest course as she glanced over his shoulder, hopeful someone would interrupt.
“It’s in between the beats, you just have to listen really hard.” Perhaps sensing her doubts he frowned, “Don’t tell me you can’t hear it.”
She could hear it, the melody loitering in the song but that wasn’t the problem. Pursing her lips Jamie glanced around quickly, this could be one fatal mistake.
“You’re a dog and you’re talking.”
