50 Word Thursday #100

Hi All,

Ok, I’m going mad but that’s immaterial because 50 Word Thursday will go on regardless.  Anyway before the full descent into lunacy, inspired by WordPress’ Block Editor, let’s first go and see what treasures Kristian inspired last week by viewing the results here.

The Rules:

  • Find the muse within the photo or line provided and follow where it leads. It can be a story, anecdote, poem. Anything!
  • The Story must be between 50 and 250 words, in 50 word increments. (so 50, 100, 150, 200 or 250 words)
  • Link back to this post with the tag 50WordThurs so that everyone can find it, or post your response in the comments below.

I’m looking forward to what these prompts inspire, so here’s the picture:

  1. He backed carefully into the room, turned, and stared. He couldn’t believe what eyes had beholden. A golden box half way wrapped in bronze gift paper. “It better be money.” as he proceeded towards the unmasked treasure. He lifted the latchet from the top snail likely. An ancient scroll peeped to the top as green orbs tried to verify the uncommon writings. “What…is this?” Now taking out the scroll. 🕊

Word count 68 lol! I always surpass the word amount. Nice to do this again after not coming on here for SO long. God bless and take care. 🙏
