42 Words #15

Ok, this has not been a pleasant Word Press week, I’m stuck in the block editor and trying to find an escape route and this is my trial post.  Wish me luck everyone, cos it could be the end.

Ok, so before we reveal Charles’ pick of 15  let’s first review the Dave’s choice of 38, which was of course of vampires and I bet you’re all wondering what dark thoughts were conjured by this theme.

Ramya from My Musings

Dave from MMA Storytime

Sadje from Keep It Alive

Larry from Eastelmhurst.a.go.go

Now I’m sure when I mentioned that Charles had picked the theme you all got a little bit apprehensive, for Charles has a bit of a knack for picking the tricky ones but on this occassion I want you all to exhale and calm down.

Charles has picked a theme which should be simple … should be simple like riding a llama while bouncing on a trampoline.  So here we go with the big reveal, hold your breath, cross your fingers , don’t break that mirror because this week’s theme is …

IDOLS

Yep, idols.  Really there’s not much more I can say than that.  Idols it is.  Idols in all shapes, sizes and representations.  An idol you like as long as you limit yourself to 42 words.

Now a big thanks to Sadje for heading my plea and throwing out 2 for next week, but I still need more numbers nominated.  Now I know some are hesitant to nominate because they think I’ll expect them to contribute but there is no pressure here.  If you stop by for a look, feel free to nominate in the comments.  A number is all I need.

GONE 2 GONE GONE GONE 6 GONE
GONE GONE GONE GONE GONE GONE GONE
GONE 16 GONE GONE 19 GONE GONE
GONE GONE GONE 25 GONE GONE GONE
29 30 31 GONE GONE GONE GONE
36 GONE GONE 39 GONE GONE GONE

Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:

A costly investment for a precious reward.

Tom eyed the kitten skeptically.

Sitting at the end of the branch it didn’t appear to need rescuing but he reached out anyway.

Hiss, claws, then the fall.

“Oh Tom, you’re my idol,” Mary exclaimed

Perhaps the broken arm was worth it
