MMA Storytime #41

As the horses’ thunder around the final bend the leaders are neck to neck and the crowd is in a frenzy.

Never have we seen a race this close, they’re so evenly matched that they storm down the final straight, not a hair’s breadth between them.

As the crowd rise to their feet, the jockies huddle down, whips a blur as they yell, cajole and plead for this is the race that stops a nation.

A flash, a blur, a sudden surge and a tremendous roar fills the air as they cross the line.

Defeat has won the Melbourne Cup.
