42 Words #23

Hi All,

This week Sadje has stepped up to the plate and selected the wonderful number 23 and I know you are just as freaked out as I was about that but before we go in to orbit and reveal the topic, lets recap where HUMOR lead us.

Dave from MMA Storytime

Sadje from Keep It Alive

H.S Munroe from Writefunnydramatrue

“It’s not funny, Bob!” Sue steamed, her elbow held firmly in her hand.
“I beg to differ.”
After clotheslining her rival trying to catch the bouquet, she was embarrassed.
“My elbow hit her chin.”
“Isn’t that why it’s called the funny bone?”

Charles from Potatoes and the Promise of More Potatoes

Rhen from Breathing Shallow Poetry

So thanks to all who participated last week, we all got a few good chuckles out of that one but what is the theme for this week?

Well I’m glad you enquired for Sadje has given as a theme as big as the entire universe with her selection of …

OUTER SPACE.

Now its time to head intergalatic and explore the fartherest dimensions or just next door if you skew the definition of the term.  The choice is entirely yours but there’s a limit – 42 words only.

And like always I ask kindly for a few requests from the remaining themes.  Any one can chose just post in the comments or alternatively on your site.

GONE 2 3 GONE GONE 6 GONE
8 9 GONE GONE 12 13 GONE
15 16 GONE GONE 19 20 GONE
GONE GONE 24 25 26 27 GONE
29 30 31 GONE GONE 34 35
36 GONE 38 39 GONE 41 42

Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:

Real Estate came with an expensive price tag.

When they’d agreed to co-habitat after the breakup she had expected compromise, not this.

Pursing her lips Taylor remarked caustically, “With your new girlfriend’s hoarding I might as well be living in outer space.”

“I’ll book the flight,” Was the dry response.
