It hadn’t taken her long to realize the truth, survival wasn’t a game, it took vigilance, hard work and persistence and she’d been pleasantly surprised to discover that she had plenty of all three qualities.
She’d searched until she found a remote location near a river; she’d made a basic camp with a campfire of course, she’d even managed to steal a boat. Food, water, shelter, things didn’t get any better than this.
It was only when she saw the smoke rising that she’d realized her error but she refused to be defeated.
