42 Words #1

Hi All,

So last week we I was so happy as I had been given a number in advance by Dave from MMA Storytime but before we have another grand reveal let us first see where SATIRE took us.

Thanks to all who participated, I was a bit uncertain about this one but you all took the bull by the horns and the results were impressive.

Teresa from The Haunted Wordsmith

Dave from MMA Storytime

Charles from Potatoes and the Promise of More Potatoes

So, what is at the top spot, what it the amazing first theme we have, well Dave thanks for this selection, I think it will prove interesting as we have ….

When I saw this one I will concede that I thought it might be a bit limiting so I’m going to broaden the horizons.  Alternate reality not your thing, then let’s go anything alternate – a shirt, a door, an alternate cheese on your pizza.  The skies the limit literally, in 42 words anyway.

Now I’m really pleased that people are picking numbers with a bit of prompting (Sadje, Rhen???) but we still have a lot of themes to go, so please select a number, I promise they won’t bite.

8 9 10 GONE 12 13 14
15 16 17 GONE 19 20 21
GONE 23 24 25 26 27 GONE
29 30 31 32 GONE 34 35
36 37 38 39 40 41 42

Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:

Youthful folly carry severe penalties here

The guilty verdict hadn’t been surprising and he’d shrugged then but now he realized that the consequences were unimaginable … well, to him at least.

Stealing the car had been exhilarating experience; unfortunately the fine of a thousand brain cells was stupefying.

PS Don’t forget to pingback.

  1. Oh gosh, this is good! Thanks for the mention, and I’m sure I can come up with something suitably entertaining for “alternate reality” 🙂 You’re GOOD!
