42 Words #33

Welcome All to 42 Words,

This week Dave from MMA Storytime did the honour of picking our next theme and he has my heartfelt thanks as he chose one of my favorites but before we get to that let’s review where MONSTERS took us.

I will admit I was so pleased that we had so many people take the 42 word challenge, I enjoyed each and every one of the micro stories and I heartily encourage you to have a look.

So this week Dave picked number 33 and what is this theme you ask breathlessly …


So now is the time to put on those wizard’s hats, grab your wand and begin conjuring up a tale.  Feel free to focus on either or both aspects but remember 42 words is all you have.

Also please take this chance to select a number and chose the theme for next week, I really don’t want to ask my dog Pippa to make the choice, she’ll look at me oddly.

Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:

A sharp edge can heal more than it harms.

Slowly she let the rose petals fall into the bowl before muttering her incantation.

She would take great satisfaction in proving those who thought sorcery was a dark art wrong.

Reaching out Mary plucked the knife from midair, this blade devoured hate.
