42 Words – A Special Edition

Hi All,

So before we get into this weeks very special theme first lets recap those who participated this week.

So as many of you would be aware Monday the 25th of May is Towel Day, a day in honour of Douglas Adams and bearing that in mind I want everyone to do their best and channel the great man with the following theme

ODDBALL

So what exactly is oddball??? Well if you are struggling you could watch Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy but in short oddball is listed in the dictionary as strange; bizarre.

If that doesn’t give you scope, nothing will.

So let us do our best and participate in honor of Douglas Adams and Towel Day

PS – If you want to leave a number for next week please feel free to do so in the comments otherwise the cat is going to pick.

Here’s my take on this week’s prompt:

You want insight at a gut wrenching price?

“The cat’s an oracle.”

“Sure and I’m Douglas Adams.”

At my sarcastic quip Dan dragged me upstairs and looking down I nearly gagged.

“She’s throwing up fur balls, Dan.”

“No, look.”

“Oh.”

He was right, clear as day was the number 42.

    1. No the prompts aren’t inspired by it and use them any way you like. Perhaps a lizard who likes football, or a cake made to look like a beer bottle. Anything odd will do 😊

    1. Its simple Chelsea. Write a complete story in 42 words on the weekly theme, oddball in this instance and if you like nominate a number in the comments to select next week’s theme and prevent the cat selecting.
