Ok, so despite the title this is the first of the 42 word challenges and thanks to my partner picking a not so random number, we are starting with theme 4.
What is theme 4, you ask apprehensively and the answer is
CABARETS (ta dah)
So for all those who want to try they’re hand a cabaret is defined as a form of theatrical entertainment featuring music, song, dance, recitation, or drama. It is mainly distinguished by the performance venue, which might be a pub, a casino, a restaurant, or a nightclub with a stage for performances.
So we’re talking Le Moulin Rouge, sparkle and Liza Minnelli … I’m sure we can all think of 42 words to fit and if not we’ll improvise. I really don’t care where we go as long as it is kept within the constraints of 42 words.
And because I’ve had a full week to think about this I’ve decided to make this challenge interactive.
Each week I will prompt someone to choose the next number and keep the game running along and this week I have chosen Chelsea to pick a number.
Anyway, here’s my take on this week’s prompt:
It all concluded with a whimper not a bang
Dolly threw her head back and thrust her shoulders out as they spun. The chorus line of Cabaret singing in ecstatic unison.
It was all a wild delight until Mary went down.
One broken heel and it was dominos.
C’est la vie.
PS Don’t forget to pingback so I can find your delightful entries.
