Here’s the picture:
And the words:
“I took a deep breath, put my hand on the doorknob and unlocked the door.” – Christiana Miller – Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She’s Dead
And here are the submissions for this week:
Violet from Thru Violet’s Lentz
Kristian from Tales from the mind of Kristian
And here’s my submission for the week:
I took a deep breath and unlocked the door,
Staring bright eyed at the lighthouse’s light as the seagulls did caw.
I started up the steps two at a time,
I made haste, I did not whine.
Reaching the top I paused to draw a breath,
The sounds from above were making me fret.
Taking the last steps two at a time,
I made the top and stopped mid rhyme.
Before shocked eyes I did see,
Something which astounded me.
A polar bear and a hippo were drinking wine,
While swaying from side to side as they repeated the time.
